What this policy covers
This policy covers the World Products website at worldp.co.uk, and the enquiries and business correspondence that reach us through it.
It does not cover:
- Amazon and other marketplaces. Where we operate storefronts and listings on behalf of the brands we work with, the marketplace collects and controls shopper data under its own privacy policy. If you bought a product on Amazon, Amazon and the brand you bought from control that data — not this website.
- Other websites we link to, such as LinkedIn. Following a link means you are on someone else’s site, under their policy.
- Our clients’ own products and services, which are governed by the agreements we hold with them.
The personal data we collect
- What you send us
- When you complete the contact form we collect your full name and email address, and — if you choose to give them — your company name and phone number, along with whatever you write in the message. If you email or call us instead, we hold that correspondence and the details in it.
- Job enquiries
- Our careers pages point to the same contact form, so if you get in touch about a role we hold what you send us in the same way, and use it only to consider and reply to your enquiry.
- Technical data
- Our hosting provider records standard server information when a page is requested — including IP address, browser type and the page requested — to keep the site secure, available and working correctly. We do not combine this with anything else, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no session-recording tool.
We do not ask for special category data — such as health, ethnicity or political opinions — and the contact form is not the place to send it. Please do not include sensitive personal information in an enquiry. If your enquiry genuinely concerns a medical or adverse-event matter relating to a product, contact the brand or your healthcare professional directly.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using personal data. Ours are set out below.
- To reply to your enquiry
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests — it is plainly in both our interests that we answer someone who has contacted us. Where your enquiry is about becoming a client, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To consider a job enquiry
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract of employment.
- To keep the website secure and available
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests — protecting our site and the people who use it from abuse and disruption.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations
- Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not send marketing emails from data collected through this website, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Where your data is held
Enquiries submitted through the contact form are stored in a database hosted in the European Union (Ireland).
Some of our service providers are based outside the UK, or use technical infrastructure outside it, which means your personal data may be transferred internationally. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards UK law requires — a UK adequacy decision where one applies, or the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional protections where they are needed. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for.
- Enquiries and correspondence
- Held for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, and then deleted — unless a business relationship begins, in which case the records are kept for the duration of that relationship and for as long afterwards as we are legally required to keep business records.
- Job enquiries
- Held for up to 12 months from our last contact, so that we can consider you for a suitable role, and then deleted.
- Technical server records
- Retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security and reliability purposes.

How we protect it
Everything on this website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Enquiry records are held in a database that is not publicly accessible, and access to them is restricted to the members of our team who need it, each with their own account. We use established providers who maintain recognised security standards, and we review our arrangements as the site changes.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the Information Commissioner within 72 hours, and tell you directly where the law requires us to.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your personal data, where there is no good reason for us to continue holding it.
- Ask us to restrict how we use it while a question about it is resolved.
- Object to our using it where we rely on legitimate interests — including objecting to direct marketing at any time.
- Ask us to transfer certain data to you or another provider in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent to process the data.
To exercise any of these, email hello@worldp.co.uk. We will respond within one month, and there is no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first — we would like the chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection. You can reach the ICO at ico.org.uk, on 0303 123 1113, or by writing to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
Children
This is a business-to-business website intended for people acting in a professional capacity. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data relating to them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way we handle personal data changes, or when the website itself changes in a way that affects it. The date at the top of the page tells you when it was last revised. This version was published on 29 July 2026.
